Updates and a Cool Recipe

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the silence over the last couple of months, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Ali and I'd died. But no, I'm afraid that we still endure. The reason that it's been so quiet is that Ali and I are currently completing our A-Levels and unfortunately these have had to take precedent. We have however been camping as much as we can (although not as much as we'd like.)

So I thought I'd catch you all up to where Ravine Outdoors currently is; we have now successfully opened the online store (located at http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/ravineoutdoorssales/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686) and have received a second supply order containing lots of new exiting products(hopefully more on the way soon.)

We have also picked up some new tips and tricks whilst camping, some of which I'll share with you and some that you'll have to stay tuned for.

The first tip I've got for you is a great camp-fire recipe.
You will need:
- A stick-bark removed at one end and long enough to sit at a comfortable distance to the fire.
- A camp-fire-an obvious one I know but you'd be surprised.
- A pack(or two) of marshmallows.
- Pack of coco pops or similar.

Take a few marshmallows and spear them with the stick, roast marshmallows on the fire ( as you normally would) then, here comes the fun bit, when the marshmallows become sticky plunge them into the box of coco pops. Beware it will be hot- you have been warned! This is an easy and tasty snack for round the camp-fire.

If you have any alternative camp-fire recipes then give us a shout and we will try them out and maybe even feature them on the blog.

The next thing we recommend is to try out different types of tent and camping styles, when testing out the new tepee tents now in stock at our store we were both pleasantly surprised that we preferred the canvas tepees rather than our regular nylon tents.

We urge you to try alternative camping methods such as; tarps, tepees, hammocks, old canvas tents such as bell tents, bivvie bags and any other method you can think of.

Lastly I have been reminded (by chief overlord Ali) to ask you to take a look at the new products in our shop and also to have a flick through of our instructional videos on our website (www.ravineoutdoors.co.uk) we hope that you enjoy them and find them useful.

- Luke
